Deuteronomy 6:6-7 says,
“These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.”
Simply put, every moment in life is an opportunity to be an intentional parent. In 2015 a “…walk along the road” is the hours of driving time we spend. Instead of talk radio or the latest Lady Gaga album. Why not use that time to build relationship and pass on a spiritual legacy?
Here’s 5 questions to get you started. They are not overtly spiritual. Instead, they are door opening questions. They open doors for opportunities for you to connect with your child’s heart as you “…walk along the road.” Take turns and make sure everyone in the car has an opportunity to respond.
